Wildflower season in South Africa 2006
I saw a post today in Yahoo news regarding the cold and stormy weather that South Africa is getting this winter. That reminded me that I had heard that there was snowy weather on the Western Cape region from the blog South Africa Logue. It has great information about travel in SA. They posted that Ceres had gotten snow and that the storms had been pretty strong recently.
Storms make me think of rain which makes we think of a good wildflower bloom. So I went out to see if I could find the Dear Daisy site that I found last year. Actually I found a new and much better site from North South Tourism Route. This is a neat site. What is great is it has a wildflower report for 2006 from all the flower hot spots up and down the Western coast.
It looks to be an outstanding year for flowers. I can just imagine what it must be like. We would have missed it arriving in September. I wish I was there now.
