Thanksgiving was so early this year plus going to Hawaii late in October has made it very hard for me to realize that it is almost December. I keep thinking it is still October even after stuffing myself for three days with turkey. I finally got around to designing our Christmas cards and ordering our gift calendars. Both were pretty easy to do this year.

I’m also starting to plan for our annual Christmas gathering with our friends from Vashon. This year’s theme will be Mexican. I’m planning on making turkey breast with mole sauce, maybe enchiladas, salad, winter squash and for dessert Mexican chocolate ice cream. I need to test our a couple of the sauces.

I’m also in a crafty mood. Looking for something fun to make to decorate the house. Not my normal style but I have some time.

Oh yeah, we are looking forward to our annual trip downtown to check out the lights, decorations, window decorations and even the crowds. We’ll probably go down either this Saturday or next.
