March Weather
It has been a wild weather day. I woke several times last night with the wind and rain lashing against my window. There is something comforting being inside during a storm but yet alarming at the same time. It continued to be dark and wet this morning when we awoke so we decided to go to an early showing of the movie “Alice in Wonderland”. It was quite good. We both love Tim Burton so it was perfect for a dark and stormy day.
We left the theater and the rain had stopped. The streets glistened and were strewn with cherry blossoms and pink petals of magnolias. We arrived home thinking we would have the afternoon to garden. No not a chance. The wind started to blow and soon the ground turn white with hail. What the cuss?
And now the sun it out but you can see the clouds in the distance. It won’t be long. The rain will return. March may have come in like a lamb but it is going out like one of the old cranky sheep pictured above.
I never think of you having merinos! There are SO many of them here. I see them most days in paddocks as I drive past.
We are experiencing wild winds also. Up to 65 mph in some areas! At least not much rain with it but the worry is fires so I guess rain would be a welcome addition. It is supposed to be 35 to 40 mph tomorrow on all islands. Hope my kids don’t blow away!
March came in and is going out like a lion for us. We had our lamb weather mid-March.
Love this photo! Soooo cute! Where did you take it?
I was just thinking today if March will go out like a lion for us. Rain is in the forecast here in No. California.
Leslie – can’t fool you can I? It was taken in Australia. Actually Western Australia north of Geraldton. We were driving along a backroad to Kalbarri and saw these in the middle of nowhere.
Hi Marta, the weather this season has definitely been different for us too. Hot over the weekend and now rain in the forcast for Thursday. These Australian sheep are so interesting looking. They have this double neck thing happening, but they are just as fluffy as my Scottish sheep. Great photo.
Marta, I love your cranky old sheep! I wasn’t aware that you visited Western Australia, how interesting.
I’m looking forward to seeing Alice in Wonderland, I’m a Tim Burton fan, too!
It is mad march here too.
What was the movie like?
