I have been checking my credit card on line and there was a posting yesterday from Inyo National Forest. YES! Our Whitney application has been processed and I should know soon via snail-mail what day we get to climb. This is good. They just started the lottery on February 17th and my credit card was charged on the 19th. Our first pick is just before the full moon at the end of July. Our second pick is during the Persides meteor show just before August 12th.

I have been checking the message board at Whitney Portal Store. No one has received a permit either and the first day the charges showed up was the same as mine. Looking good. Looking good.

I ran Green Lake on Wednesday. I was so sore the next day. My thighs killed me. Today we went to Richmond Beach and did our stairs circuit. Last week, I did it 7 times with a pack. This week I did it 8 times but without a pack. It was a gorgeous day almost 60 degrees. And it is still February.
